Joel Harris, gives credit to his blue-collar upbringing in a small farming and coal-mining town of only 9,000 people as his motivation to attend law school and help those who have been treated unfairly.
Mr. Harris is known for his dedication to his clients and working with them to obtain the best possible result in their case. Mr. Harris has been practicing law for 18 years in the Jacksonville area and has spent the vast majority of that time as a trial attorney for those seriously injured.
Prior to joining the accomplished trial lawyers at Coker Law, Mr. Harris worked with Smith Barney and as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 company. While in law school at Florida Coastal School of Law, Mr. Harris served as election supervisor for all Student Bar Association on-campus elections. In that position, he developed and authored Florida Coastal’s first-ever elections code, which governed how elections were run.
Mr. Harris now uses that discerning attention to detail to fight aggressively for his injured clients and their families. While not assisting his clients, Mr. Harris can be found volunteering in the community where he lives by coaching baseball and supporting his children in their numerous sports and activities.
